On 28 Aug 2024, Envision Greenwise Holdings Limited (“Envision Greenwise Group”,1783.HK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cainiao Supply Chain Hong Kong Company Limited (“Cainiao Supply Chain”)  in Hong Kong and made an announcement, whereby the parties shall collaborate in the recycling of batteries and the development of a green logistics supply chain. The MOU will take effect on 1 September for a period of three years.

According to the MOU, Envision Greenwise and Cainiao Supply Chain will take advantage of their respective industrial chain resources to jointly promote green logistics supply chain. The scope of cooperation includes:

1)    Battery Recycling: Envision Greenwise possesses advanced battery recycling technology for efficient dismantling and reuse. Cainiao Group's logistics network will provide efficient collection and transportation support for Envision Greenwise’s global battery recycling layout.

2)    Materials Supply Chain: The two parties plan to establish a battery materials trading center in Hong Kong, focusing on the trading of key raw materials such as lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, in order to enhance circulation efficiency and offer stable and reliable supply channels to battery manufacturers.

3)    Green Logistics System: Leveraging Cainiao's expertise in green logistics, the partnership will build a green logistics system focused on battery recycling,  which involves using new energy transport vehicles and automated warehousing technology to minimize carbon emissions.
